The fictional town of Spectre was built as a movie set for Tim Burton’s Big Fish on Jackson Lake Island near Millbrook. Unlike most sets, major pieces were left standing after production ended.
Weather, vines and time turned the deliberately artificial town into a genuine ruin visited by travelers and photographers.
