Haunted Backroads follows the roads that run past old prisons, battlefield fences, empty hotels, cemetery gates, mountain towns and buildings everybody in town has a story about.

We are starting in Tennessee, then expanding through Georgia and Alabama before taking the project nationwide. Every state file is meant to feel reported, local and worth keeping—not mass-produced for a search engine.

Part of a growing local network

Our Tennessee reporting connects naturally with LocalKnox. Georgia reporting will connect with LocalMacon when that state file opens. The sites share research and readers, but not duplicate articles.
